The future looks bleak for my Studiologic motherboard. It usually hangs when I switch it on. The lights and buttons don't work. I have contacted the company and have my fingers crossed that they will show some goodwill and send a replacement.
Until then the construction is on hold...

I've just checked out your project, I've been thinking of doing the same. In an earlier post you mentioned the Doepfer manual. You can purchase just the keybed (with no case or electronics) and a simple controller board from analogue haven (the US Doepfer dealer).
This is what I'm planning on using for my project. It will be interesting watching the progress on yours.

Thanks very much for the suggestion! You know, I hadn't realised you can just buy the keybed. I chose against the D3M because I think the case is too high and it's expensive. I'll definitely check it out.
No response from Studiologic yet.
Keep us posted on your project! You using an Electro for the sounds?
I have learned that motherboard problems are quite common with Fatar/Studiologic keyboards. The speed at which you press the on switch can have an effect on the startup!
Furthermore there are many problems with the mod wheel sending jitter, not a problem for me since I have disconnected it. Just google for "Fatar problems" or something similar and you will find hundreds of dissatisfied customers.
No wonder Fatar never responded to my email!
