Good stuff, kona! I'm a big believer in action being a function of how sturdy the base is. In most cases its switching from a single x stand to a tabletop-type stand. In this case, it seems like switching from plastic to wood did the trick!
Also, the fact that you can get the upper and lower manuals closer together is a huge benefit.
Just FYI, the links to the larger sized weekend progress pictures are messed up.

Totally agree with you. The Fatar keybed was actually extremely good once out of the case - in fact better than the Nord now! I'm considering picking up a second Fatar and using the keys for the top manual instead of the E-61. I have an Electro rack which I can place on top for the sounds. THis will be a nice compact controller I think, the Electro 61 gives the whole thing a rather top heavy feel...
